Senior Data Science Consultant (f/m/d)

Basic Information

NextLytics M.I.K.E. is seeking a Senior Data Science Consultant to join their Thessaloniki office and help transform business models through data-driven solutions. You will work on client projects and internal initiatives, taking leadership roles and translating complex business questions into scalable AI and machine learning use cases.

Responsibilities

• Participate in cross-functional teams focused on Data Science and Data Engineering
• Take active roles in client projects and internal initiatives, including project leadership responsibilities
• Conduct presentations and pre-sales activities with diverse stakeholders
• Develop data-driven strategies and translate business questions into scalable use cases
• Act as a key interface between business units and IT in machine learning and data science
• Identify opportunities, project ideas and new services
• Monitor industry trends, share knowledge, and create presentations and content for clients, website, and social media

Requirements

• Completed degree in (Business) Informatics , Mathematics , Physics , Engineering , or comparable scientific discipline
• At least 5 years of professional experience in data science and machine learning domain
• Proven expertise (certifications and/or project experience) in Databricks
• Knowledge of modern Cloud Architectures (Azure, AWS, GCP), on-premise solutions, containerized environments, and Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with Big Data Ecosystems (Apache Spark, Kafka), NoSQL Technologies , and Cloud Services
• End-to-end experience across data/ETL pipelines, ML models, and their integration and deployment into existing IT systems
• Development of ML-Applications and confident use of Python and/or R, SQL
• Up-to-date know-how in GenAI, RAG and Agentic AI
• Business-fluent English and strong presentation and facilitation skills
• Willingness to travel for projects requiring on-site work
