As a Sommelier at Roka, you’ll pair exceptional wines and sakes with unforgettable moments, ensuring smooth service, maximizing sales, and delivering top-tier customer satisfaction. You will part of the launch of our brand-new location on the breathtaking island of Mykonos. Elevate the Roka dining experience with your wine and sake expertise!
ROKA is a collection of contemporary Japanese Robatayaki restaurants. Roka Mykonos offers diners a seasonal, sun-soaked escape, where vibrant dishes, inventive cocktails, and live DJs set the scene for unforgettable summer days and nights. ROKA embodies the spirit of coming together and sharing a collective dining experience, (RO) symbolises the atmosphere and (KA), the heat of fire from the Robata
Main Duties
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to deliver seamless and efficient wine and sake service daily
- Use your in-depth knowledge of wine, sake, and food pairings to enhance guest experiences and drive sales
- Manage wine and sake stock levels and oversee ordering procedures with accuracy and care
- Monitor and maintain wine and sake service equipment, addressing any needs with management
- Build relationships with guests and high-value customers, creating lasting connections
- Handle guest feedback professionally, keeping senior management informed of key updates
