What makes this role exciting and challenging:
The Product Owner ensures Allwyn Lottery Solutions products’ optimal value to the customers by leading each product development cycle. The Product Owner operates in Scrum method in medium and large-scale implementation with distant stakeholders and customers, gathering requirements and translating them to an efficient backlog for the teams.
As part of your everyday responsibilities, you will:
- Work with the stakeholders and product managers to analyze data and align product roadmap to strategic goals
- Act as an ambassador for the product internally and externally, and as the primary technical contact for queries related to the product.
- Possess a fundamental understanding of end to end customer experience integration and dependencies.
- Work closely with key roles such as Tech Leads and Delivery Managers to ensure requirements clarity and technical excellence
- Develop scope documents and define Epics/User Stories that guide ou Software Development teams.
- Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.
- Define priorities for short-term delivery within sprints and also for longer-term delivery along with Product Managers and stakeholders.
- Solve problems, make decisions, and complete trade-off analysis to stay on track toward business development commitments.
- Ensure that dependencies, risks, and stakeholders’ expectations are identified and managed.
- Develop appropriately detailed specifications for product features so that they are clearly understood by the development team
- Increase transparency and enable direct communication between tech and business
- Provide the necessary information required to help teams make informed decisions autonomously
- Support the teams to reach their long and short-term commitments by removing anything that impedes their work
- Develop and maintain an appropriately prioritized backlog of user stories for implementation.
- Ensure effective coordination, establish feedback loops, and enable overall orchestration among various teams, stakeholders, and customers
- Run refinement sessions with the development teams in order to articulate delivery goals, provide details, and refine stories. Additionally, capture user story estimations from the team during such sessions.
- Run iteration reviews or demo sessions with the help of QA engineers in order to present the iteration deliverables to stakeholders and receive feedback.
Requirements
Key qualifications for your success:
- Previous experience in a similar role (Product Manager/Owner, Delivery Lead, Business Analyst, Quality Analyst, Usability Analyst)
- 2 years of working on software development projects in an agile requirements analysis role
- Experience in working on multiple and varied large-scale projects, delivering a variety of software applications
- Experience in web and mobile applications is considered a plus
- Proven ability to work within teams using a variety of software development methods, including product development using agile software delivery methods
- A degree in a CS or Computer Engineering discipline or equivalent is a plus
- Motivated by learning and continuous improvement
- Engaging, influential, dynamic, and authoritative with excellent interpersonal skills
- Influences complex and contentious topics with credibility, expertise and professionalism
- Flexible, pragmatic, and capable of adapting to customer needs
- Ability to work from a high-level brief without supervision
- Capable of operating in a wide range of environments, diverse cultures, and customer situations
