We are looking for a Staff Canteen Chef to join our team!
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
- Prepares and cooks food according to recipes
- Is experienced in cooking large quantities of food
- Oversees and directs the kitchen staff.
- Executes orders for food items with the highest standards, as designated by the head chef.
- Always maintain the service area/tables and work area neat and clean.
- Implements and follows company procedures, hygiene, and safety standards.
- Contribute to the growth and success of the team.
Requirements
- 1 year in a similar position ideally within a hotel environment or luxury restaurant.
- Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of food products and menus.
- Has an excellent knowledge of food safety procedures.
- Works under pressure
- Ability to perform all essential duties during a lengthy, high-volume, and high-pressure service.
- Superb attention to detail and driven by delivering exception standards.
- Genuinely care about the quality of the food they prepare.
- Capacity to work with a sense of urgency.
- Works flexible shifts.
