The Role
Ambience, is seeking for an experienced Head of Accounting Department to oversee accounting department’s daily operations.
Main responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department and the general accounting functions
- Manage month-end and year-end closing (ensures timely and robust reconciliations to provide correct monthly / annual financial data)
- Oversee the preparation & timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax declarations
- Establish accounting policies and procedures, aligned with company’s targets
- Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
- Prepare other ad hoc analysis/reports as per management requirements
Requirements
- BSc in Accounting, Finance, Economics. A Master's degree is desirable
- Proven experience in accounting supervisory role more than 5 years
- Good understanding of accounting/finance IT tools
- Good knowledge of Accounting and G.A.A.P
- Relevant certification (e.g. ACCA , MSc) is a plus
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, highly proficient particularly in Excel.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and detail oriented.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication and administrative skills.
- People management experience
- Able to handle pressure well and being self-motivated.
