HR Operations Senior Specialist - Crete

We're on the lookout for a talented HR Operations Senior Specialist to join our awesome team. As the “go-to” Person, you will be the backbone of our HR operations, making sure everything runs smoothly and in line with the law and our policies. The role is based in Crete and requires travelling through the various destinations such as Chania and Elounda. This is a full time/ all-year role based in either Chania or Elounda.

Requirements

What you will be doing:

• Act as the primary contact for employee relations matters, offering guidance, counseling, and support to employees and managers.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to assess staffing needs and devise recruitment strategies for your region.
• Conduct interviews and participate in the selection process for key positions.
• Coach managers on performance-related issues and assist in managing performance matters.
• Consistently interpret and implement HR policies and procedures across our Crete hotels.
• Stay current on employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize legal risks.
• Lead or contribute to HR initiatives such as process enhancements, policy development, and HR system implementations.
• Investigate employee complaints and disciplinary cases, recommending appropriate actions based on findings.
• Mentor, train, and develop a team of HR coordinators and specialists..

Specific Knowledge and Skills:

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and cope with deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Able to inspire a team and influence stakeholders.
• Someone with a hands-on, pro-active approach
• Knowledge and experience in employment law, ERGANI and compensation is necessary.

Education & Experience

• Relevant bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or other equivalent degree
• Fluency in English
• High Computer literacy with advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel (Pivots, V-Look Up)
• Must have at least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Previous experience in luxury business or hospitality environment is preferred.
