On behalf of our client, a well-established company in the pharmaceutical distribution sector, we are currently seeking to recruit a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join their team.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a motivated and organised professional who possesses:
- A degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software and/or ERP systems.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high levels of accuracy.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, in Greek and English.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to manage time and deadlines effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
As an integral member of the accounting team, the selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Processing payments and managing financial documents such as invoices, journal entries, and statements.
- Inputting, updating, and retrieving data using the companys accounting software and ERP systems (e.g. SAP).
- Recording, reviewing, and correcting accounting entries to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Preparing bank deposits and issuing payment receipts.
- Organising and maintaining financial records through a systematic filing system.
- Communicating with clients for collections and resolving inquiries in a timely manner.
- Reconciling accounts receivable and accounts payable at month-end.
- Performing weekly bank reconciliations.
- Generating monthly debtor statements and sending them to partner pharmacies.
- Supporting broader processes within the Accounting and Finance departments as required.
